Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Donates $30,000 to Ohio State Charities |

 The Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research and an endowed scholarship
both benefit from charity golf event.
The Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) received a $15,000 gift in recognition of Team Ohio State’s finish at last week’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament. The Buckeye duo of Ohio State University Head Football Coach Urban Meyer and former running back Jeff Logan earned a total of $30,000 in winnings, which the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will split between the cancer research fund and an endowed scholarship at Ohio State.
“Our mission to give back is a driving force in everything that we do,” said Gary Stokan, President and CEO of Peach Bowl, Inc. “We’re grateful for the participation of these coaches and celebrities, and are happy to have the opportunity to give something back to their universities and the causes that are so close to their hearts.”

Cincinnati Reds support the Meyer Fund

 On Wednesday, April 8, at their home opener game, the Cincinnati Reds presented Urban Meyer with a check in support of the Urban and Shelly Meyer Fund for Cancer Research at the OSUCCC - James. The Ohio State University football team was honored at the game. Coach Meyer has an extensive family history in the city and is a 1986 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Coach Meyer, assistant coach and longtime Cincinnati Colerain head football coach Kerry Combs, and Buckeyes Adolphus Washington and Joe Burger threw out ceremonial first pitches.
