J.R. Memorial Cruise for Cancer |

 The 3rd annual J.R. Cruise for Cancer was held on June 22, 2015 at Mimi’s at the Lake in Russells Point, Ohio. More than 250 people joined former Buckeye athletes; Zach Boren, Corey Linsley, John Simon, Matt Wilhelm, Justin Zwick, Jack Mewhort, Tom Cousineau, Butch Smith and Jim Stillwagon to raise over $82,000 for the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research. The event consisted of silent and live auctions, as well as a raffle that gave away a brand new jet ski autographed by Coach Meyer and a cabin on the 2016 Buckeye Cruise for Cancer. Turtles Fore a Cure |

 On Saturday, July 25, 2015, Turtles Fore a Cure hosted their third golf outing at Little Turtle Golf Club in Westerville, Ohio to raise money for cancer research. More than $45,000 was raised this year for the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for Cancer Research. The event was kicked off by Nicki Meyer, daughter of Urban and Shelley Meyer, and golfers had the opportunity to add a former Buckeye player, such as Anthony Schlegel, Justin Zwick and Jake Ballard to their threesome team. Funds were raised through silent and live actions, a raffle and other great opportunities.
