STATE-OF-THE-ART ENDOSCOPIC SKULL BASE SURGERY: A HANDS-ON COURSE
This course is for neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons, and other skull base surgeons interested in learning endoscopic endonasal surgery of the skull base, pituitary fossa, orbit and craniocervical junction. It will comprise pre-course video lectures provided to registered participants a month prior to the course, along with anatomical prosection videos, a dissection manual, complementary lectures, roundtables and panel discussions, and live surgery transmitted to the auditorium so participants may interact with surgeons and other faculty members.

2019 NEXT GENERATION LUNG CANCER SYMPOSIUM
This symposium will focus on: recognizing proper screening techniques, selecting patients for targeted therapy, and explaining possible side effects and duration of therapy; reviewing the role of immunotherapy drugs, including sequencing of immunotherapies for first- and second-line non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC); and integrating palliative care in the management of patients with advanced lung cancer.

Open to all direct patient care staff at the OSUCCC – James, this program will teach skills for promoting resilience and diminishing potential or existing symptoms of burnout and compassion fatigue. The all-day retreat will be followed by a six-week THRIVE Independent Study conducted through a private social media group. After that, participants will reassemble for a two-hour final live session on Nov. 21.
