CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY PARTNER ACTIVITIES LISTED

Community Partner activities are held by individuals, groups and businesses to benefit the OSUCCC-James. Here’s a list of upcoming activities: 

• The 2nd Annual Eric Jason Yavitch Memorial Golf Tournament will take place Sept. 17 at New Albany Links Golf Club. Participation starts at $600 per foursome. The event, which will benefit the Healing Journey for Children at the OSUCCC-James, includes a boxed lunch, golfing, cart, beverages, dinner, prizes and live entertainment.  The 3rd Annual Billie Mattis Memorial Tennis Tournament will be held Sept 17-19 at Northam Park Tennis Courts in Upper Arlington. Registration fees are $25 per person, with proceeds benefiting the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Ohio State’s Medical Center. • Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse will hold a Swing for the Cure on Thursday, Sept. 23, at Little Turtle Golf Club to benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSUCCC-James. Foursomes are $850 and individual golfers are $225. Registration includes a three-course steak dinner after golfing. • Scrap Pink, a weekend crop for scrapbookers, will be held at a2z Scrapbooking, LLC in Marion Sept. 24-26. Entry is $55 per person, of which $15 will benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSUCCC-James. For more information, visit www.a2zscrapmarion.com.

• Pilates Innovations will host an open mat class on Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Whetstone Park of Roses to benefit ovarian cancer research at the OSUCCC-James. They are requesting a donation of $15 to participate. Call 388-8939 or send an e-mail to info@pilatesinnovations.org to reserve your spot.

• Teays Valley and Logan Elm high schools are joining forces to Tackle Cancer during their Saturday, Oct. 2, football game. The game will benefit four charities, including the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSUCCC-James. For more information, visit www.tacklingcancernow.com.
